Innovations in International Volunteering

In 2007, ICP conducted a study of innovative youth volunteer programs from around the world. The study was commissioned by v, a UK-based volunteering charity. The final report “International Youth Volunteering” has now been published and is available for download here as well as on the v website: www.wearev.com. This report identifies innovation in youth-led volunteering from around the world. The 22 case studies accompanying this report demonstrate that empowering young people – not just the usual suspects, but young people who are themselves marginalized and excluded – is the most important factor for innovation in youth volunteering.
