Conference: The Impact of National Youth
Service

The program included plenary, panel discussions, workshops, and site visits. Approximately 130 participants from 13 countries participated in the 7th Global Conference.
The themes for that 7th Global Conference included:
Education;
Health;
Communities; and
National Life.
Objectives
-Forum for members to exchange information on the service and assist others wishing to consider the introduction of National Youth Service (NYS).
-To welcome participation of people from countries where NYS is being considered or just started.
-To collaborate with International bodies operating programmes from which youthful participants emerge with .increased awareness of the needs of others.
-To develop new strategies in harnessing skills of the youth for the development of nations.

• Statism, Youth and the Civic Imagination: Impacts of the Nigeria National Youth Service Corps.
• The Impacts of National Youth Service in Israel: A Summary of Research.
