International Resources
Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) Program
Facilitates hands-on primary and secondary school-based science and education programs. Network of 110 facilitating countries and 134 U.S. Partners which coordinate GLOBE activities in local and regional communities around the world. These activities are primarily inquiry based science research projects. They provide resources for students, teachers (workshops, curriculum, activities, assessment tools), scientists and community partners.

Green School Guidelines, Anitoch University, New England
Provides training, programs and resources to domestic and international partners in leadership development, place-based education, nonprofit management, environmental education and policy, smart growth and public administration. Eco-Schools
Eco-Schools is an international program that provides a framework aiming to help educators integrate principles throughout schools and curriculum. The program was started in 1994 by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). As of October 2009, Eco-Schools is being implemented by 46 delegations in 43 countries around the world, with the involvement of 27,000 schools, 6 million students, 400,000 teachers and 4,000 local authorities.

In the United States, the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) was granted Eco-Schools host status for K-12 students since December 2008.

Environmental Education Unit

EE-Link: Environmental Education on the Internet
Guidelines which set the standard for environmental education curriculum; professional development opportunities; and other environmental education capacity building projects. Great resource for environmental education, but currently focus mostly on just environmental education without a service component.

Facing the Future

Works within the education system to incorporate education on climate change and sustainability. Includes background information, free curriculum resources, professional development workshops, standards-based resources for educators and impact evaluations. Green Works! and Green Schools Program
, Project Learning Tree, The American Forest Foundation
Partners Project Learning Tree (PLT) educators, students and communities in neighborhood improvement projects. GreenWorks! Grants to fund environmental projects. Provides a guidebook with practical ideas and pointers for getting projects off the ground and provides an accompanying environmental education curriculum. In the Green Schools Program, students and teachers receive training and funding to investigate environmental issues in their school and engage with their community in service-learning projects to create green and healthy environments. Council for Environmental Education
