Global Conferences

One of the central activities of IANYS is the Global Conference, held every two years, to provide a snapshot on developments in national youth service initiatives around the globe. Seven global conferences on national youth service have been held to date.

Participants

Participants have come from 48 different countries on six continents, as well as from several international organizations, like UN Youth Unit and UNESCO Youth Unit, including:
  • National and international organizations dealing with youth and civic engagement;
  • National youth service program leaders;
  • University and school based service-learning program leaders;
  • Scholars and researchers on national youth service;
  • National public officials;
  • Young people taking part in NYS programs;
  • IANYS regional delegates.
