Global Conferences

The central activity of IANYS is a biennial Global Conference that provides youth service practitioners and policymakers from around the world with a stimulating forum to share information and current developments in the field, nurture connections for developing future projects, and discuss the potential for scaling up national youth service for greater impact on community and youth development.

Eight global conferences on national youth service have been held to date.

Participants

Participants have come from 48 different countries on six continents, as well as from several international organizations, such as the UN Youth Unit and UNESCO Youth Unit, including:
•    National and international organizations focused on youth and civic engagement;
•    Practitioners, government officials, policymakers and donors working in youth           
     development;
•    National youth service program leaders;
•    University and school based service-learning program leaders;
•    Scholars and researchers on national youth service;
•    Young people taking part in NYS programs;
