ICP and National Youth Service Policy

ICP works with governments interested in implementing a new national youth service program or scaling up an existing program in their country. ICP also supports movements within countries to promote the development of a national youth service policy.

Summer of Service

ICP worked with legislative staff to draft the Summer of Service Act of 2007, which would provide federal funding for local schools, nonprofits and other community organizations to engage middle school students in intensive and structured community service during the summer. Learn More

Strategic Consulting

ICP has worked with numerous governments on the development of national youth service policies and programs that are tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of a country. ICP has also organized international exchanges for policymakers from South Africa, Chile, the US, and the UK to share experiences.

Small Grants for Policy Devleopment

During 2004, ICP selected 11 organizations to receive small grants to develop and advocate policies that promote service among young people in their communities. Learn More
